Nara Community Early Learning Centre (established in 1989) is a not-for-profit and community focused early learning service in Preston. Nara provides care for 68 children each day, from 6 month old babies up to school-ready kids. Nara is overseen by a committee of management.

3-year-old kindergarten at Nara

Our 3-year-old kindergarten program is delivered by an Early Childhood Teacher in our Koala Room. We offer a long day care integrated setting to provide flexibility to meet the different needs of families.

The program runs for 15 hours across 2 days. Children are able to be dropped of any time during normal operating hours and all meals, resources and incursions are included in the daily fee.

Additional days can be booked as a long day care day.

4-year-old kindergarten at Nara

Our 4-year-old kindergarten program is delivered by an Early Childhood Teacher in our Wombat room, in a long day care integrated setting.

The program runs for 15 hours per week from 8.30am—1.30pm, Monday to Friday. After 1.30 pm, children can be booked into a long day care day in the Wombat room.

Each child is offered an enrollment of 3 kindergarten days. Other days can be booked as long day care days in the Koala room if available. All bookings are permanent and continue through school holidays.

Children are required to bring their own lunchbox with morning tea and lunch.
